It is a consortium of Azotobacter/Azosprillium/Rhizobium like (N) fixing bacteria, phosphate soluble (P) & (K) absorbing bacteria.
Characteristics: i) In one ha. crop area Bact NPK can fix 50-100 kg N & convert 15-20 kg soluble P from insoluble phosphorous for absorption by plants, ii) Increases germination of seeds & fertility of soil, iii) Helps to reduce use of chemical fertilizers without reducing yield, iv) Economical than chemical fertilizer.
Dosage: i) Seed treatment: Mix 10 gm of Bact NPK per kg of seed with rice starch before sowing, ii) Soil application: 5-6 kg/ha.
